I ran a 2.5 inch straight pipe on my 81 pickup with a turboed 1.6. It
ran great, sounded good, turbo spooled up quickly. The surprising thing is I
belive you will feel the additional power if you use a decent 2 inch system
with a short efficient muffler on your N/A 1.5 or 1.6. On my Dasher Wagon
with it's 1.6 N/A I installed an Audi manifold with a 50MM flange and had my
muffler man make me a 2" system with a short efficient muffler.
