Crimany Brian did you get up on the wrong side of the bed today? :-)
Andrew's been in this stuff long enough to have gotten out and back.
All he's doing is stating the truth. No reason for offense and everybody
does know that Chinese built is what "made in taiwan" meant in the
80's and "made in Japan" meant in the 60's. It was cheap crap. Not
that good stuff doesn't come out of there and Japan and Taiwan
realized that quality meant more money than just volume and really
turned it around. China's realizing that but still turns out crap here
and there.
I don't see how a turbo going to crap has any bigotry associated
to it. We watch out for eachother here, Andrew's been doing quite
a bit with turbos, especially the VNT style and is sharing his acquired
knowlege with everybody simply to help them make informed (to
whatever degree you want to consider it) decisions on keeping our
cars running. I didn't consider any of his information, biased other
than by his personal experiences and word of mouth.
  Let's keep it friendly please?
     Loren
