I'm 99 and 44/100s percent sure it's a Type 3, and if it came from a US Type
3, then it's a 1600.  They were 1500's from '61 to '66, but they weren't
sold in the US until '67 or '68, and then only the Squareback and Fastback.
Neither the Notchback, nor the Type 3 Ghia were ever "officially" sold in
the US.  Any examples of these two in the States are grey-market cars.  The
Type 3 was discontinued in 1973.

Ok I have what is on the engine is a couple places. My father hasn't
picked it up yet but will be within a couple weeks. This is what the
seller wrote back to my father after he asked for some of the numbers. 
"I
found a number on the top of the motor stamped into the crankcase it is:
U0165724. I re read your email after I went out and checked for the number
and I seen you mentioned it may be near the oil filler.  I did glance
at both sides and top of the engine, but I will take a closer look tomorrow
near the filler area." "I
did
find a number near the oil filler and it is: 000.101.102B Then on the
other side of the engine was a similar number and it is
000.101.101D  I'm guessing these might be casting numbers." 

That
is what the seller could find. As said before if these are the numbers
needed then I need in return (or a confirmation of what was said
before) the size in HP and cc stock and then if it had a mild cam with
the dual carbs and headers what would be a guess of the new HP. I got
one answer of what the carb make is but if anyone else can confirm. I
only want to make sure as my father will create a write up of it and it
is getting shown at the at several larger shows next year. Don't want
to miss inform anyone. If my father needs to find any other markings or
numbers he will once he getting the tractor. Thanks again for the help
