The manifold to turbo bolts should be a polygon headed bolt
with a flange. They're about $40 each! Should be 4 of them,
come out from below. The turbo has to come off to get at
all the manifold-to-head bolts. If you're trying to remove the
turbo-to-downpipe bolts, better soak them in penetrant first.
It won't do much good to pull it though, there's usually not
enough give to clear the studs and get the turbo out so you
still have to pull the exhaust spring clips and pull the downpipe
with the turbo.
The torque specs are for the initial torque of the head bolts
then a half turn, warm up the car then another half turn, drive
600 miles then ANOTHER half turn. No way to "check" the torque
on them if they were done anywhere close to right. (this is for
12mm head bolts/post '81 1.6 engine) They are NOT considered
reusable. Although it's been done. Only the 11mm bolts are
declared reuseable.
Valve cover nuts often get loose after a new valve cover gasket
has been installed, after it compresses a little. They need rechecked
after a week usually.
