Forgot to mention on the quatum that if you get a rubber valve cover gasket you don't have to worry about retorqueing the nuts as there isn't any cork that needs compressing. Not to mention it is easier to not worry about getting a new gasket each time you pull the cover (sometimes it can be reuses but not always). I am not a fan of cork as if your engine sits long enough the cork can and will dry out and it will leak (oil pan gasket as well). I had plenty of old John Deere tractors that it was easier to just use silicon then the cork gaskets if you wanted a dry shop floor.
