  That's where the VW oil pan gaskets are so nice.  They come apart 
without tearing, rarely leak and don't compress.  More like a heavy 
paper or something.  Nothing like cork.  The windage trays have 
a rubber, multi ridged seal on both sides for a seal.  :-)
