  Usually once you've gone down the road a few hundred feet.
there's once again room for at least a few tenths.  Unless 
you're around 0F that could be enough to get you going again. 
  The other thing is, when you're out below about 20F and start 
losing power, drop to an idle until it clears up then try again.  If 
you keep pushing it you'll eventually draw down until it dies.  Keep 
dropping to an idle and it'll usually recover unless it's around 0F 
and you have straight #2 in the tank (no winter blend).
  Fought a tractor all afternoon the other day doing just that.  It 
neede fuel filters and the water seprator cleaned out but I was 
pushing snow, not playing mechanic that day.  Besides they had 
the shop full of stuff that wouldn't be used for months instead 
of putting in something that would be needed now!  Ugh!
