Good discussion as I am using them in my Quantum turbodiesel. ARP recommends torque to 80 pounds if using their specialized assembly lube or 120 pounds if using 30 weight oil. I am using the ARP provided lube & tightened in 10 pound stages until I reached their recommended 80 pounds. Am still finishing the assembly & hope to get the engine running tomorrow. Seems to me on my Dasher, they recommended a retorque when warm & again when cold but no such recommendations with this set of ARP studs so looking forward to more comments. It is my understanding that you follow the ARP recommendations, not the VW Bentley recommendations which use the twist to yield bolts. When I took out the old VW head bolts, one yielded at only 60 pounds & several took 120 pounds to break loose. If I recall correctly, the Bentley recommends torque to 43 pounds & then a 180 degree then or two 90 degree turns. Wonder what that brings the effective torque to?
