To torque or not to torque.
That is the question...
Alas, when man instill his fair steed with new gasketry, doth the gasket
nay compress yet more?
To compress, yet not have allowance for such compression doth seemly
convey leakage past yon ill compressed gasketry.
Retorque I must, but only to spec.
For here, spec be a reflection of FINE thread and clamping forces not
attainable by mere coarse threaded fasteners of dubious origin, plastic
in nature, and length defined by the whim of the installer.
Should good workmanship involve reading the manual for which fine ARP
product did spring, final torque values may be produced, reflective of
proper clamping force for such threadform.
And now, I must bid adieu for the nonce.
To live is to wrench.
