If ignition did notturn engine off then either youhave conventional
runaway, whichis nothing to do with the state of your injectors, and gets
its fuel from either turbo bearing failure of blowwby of sump oil. Possibly
the regulation withing the pump has failed soehow, perhaps max fuel screw
over adjusted, AND the fuel shutoff solenoid plunger stuck open...

Subject: [Vwdiesel] help, runaway

ive had two leaking injectors for a bit, am waiting on the socket and a nice
day, i guess. last night i was on a longer drive than usual when it started
speeding by itself, i knew not to push in the clutch but turning off the
ignition didn't do anything. it fixed itself i guess and i parked at my
destination, next day i drove it home same ride and it didn't do it again.

what should i do to stop it safely on the road.\
what causes that, how do i fix it.
thanks again
adam
