[Vwdiesel] More Quantum Questions?

I finally bit the bullet & took my two Quantum IPs down to Allen Diesel Energy, Yuba City, CA., be evaluated & have probably have the original IP rebuilt & the one I had rebuilt back in Maryland bench checked out. He said the rebuilt one may have been calibrated incorrectly, an easy fix he said. If I end up with two good Quantum TD IPs, can I use the other one on my NA (I think NA mean non turbo, correct?) '86 Jetta & convert it to a turbo diesel? If not, can I use one from my '80 Dasher or '81 Rabbit? Could I convert  my Jetta to a turbo by bolting on a turbo  & turbo exhaust manifold? If I can physically do this, would I be overstressing the engine or is the '86 non turbo diesel the same as the '86 Jetta TD?
