[Vwdiesel] More Quantum questions?

Bill

I know nothing, but...

1) The original pump in your Quantum could have had water in it or petrol
or heroin for all I know, BUT the bl**dy car was running when you bought it.
Remember it was just overheating slightly!!!!!

Pump number 2: Thinking about it; if the internal cam was 180 deg off, then
that wouild give you your starting problems.
However, as far as I'm concerned simply having the pump sprocket turned
upside down with timing dot on bottom would solve this, or even simpler,
time as normal, but turn cam upside down and time to #4 pistons on
compression. There... fixed at No charge!!!
This would have shown up if fuel lines were loosened and diesel pulse
observed out of #1 whilst cam lobe position noted whilst hand cranking or
by starter....

My Quantum costs me nothing practically, in maintenance.

Much of the money you've spent recently is just improving the lifestyle of
those who you give it to !!

Mark
