the rotary-pump (ALH and AHU) engines can be converted to mechanical - IIRC
there are kits available.  PD and common-rail engines, probably not.

Another possibilty - a sharp chiptuner should be able to adapt a North
American ECU or maybe even source a Euro ECU.

What would you put it in?  I assume you don't have to pass emissions where
you are...
