Speaking of home AC maintenance - there was/is a guy on the TDIClub who said
he always charged his and his friends AC with propane! Apparently it works
well and isn't (much) of a fire hazard. :)
Remember that there's no O2 inside the AC system so there's no chance of
fire/explosion, unless you have a leak... and even then unless there's open
flame it doesn't seem likely.
