  If you turn it off and leave the key it'll go dead in a few days.  He's 
out in the country so the key stays in, unlocked but if you pop the 
key and reinsert it the draw drops and it'll go for 2 weeks to a month. 
  Most newer cars use way more power just sitting than cars of 15 or 
more years ago.  
  If he ony connected a tender every month or so he'd have a dead 
battery half the time.  We both figure the battery was getting weak 
so a new one should help that.  It looks like it was the original.
