The nice thing is that there are often decent am/fm/cd units for  about a 
hundred bucks 
or less if you look around.  frys.com often will have one or places  
selling off the last 
couple of last year's units that still have two knobs instead of one that  
does 153 separate 
features!  Now you don't have to remove your eyes from the road to  find 
the knob.  You just 
have to pull out the manual to find out how to adjust the fader!
  You'll likely need a couple adapters for the antenna and  wiring.  Kinda 
beats cutting stuff 
to crap and putting 25 crimp connectors in there.  Crutchfield used to  
have most adapters 
you'd ever need.  Not sure who else would but I'm sure there are  plenty of 
places.
