Loren,
I managed to get it out and disconnected the power and then
I was able to reenter the code and it accepted it. So for now,
problem solved. I've recently decided to forgo any further major
maintenance on this vehicle. It has 160k on it and the body has
some rust issues, the ac doesn't work and I've come to the conclusion
that I don't want to put major money into a car worth $1500 at best.
When it breaks I'll buy something slightly newer and hopefully it
will have a good radio and ac. Thanks for the tips.
Peter
