[Vwdiesel] threadlocker for 12mm crank bolt? other spots for locking compound?

I've got the od style 12mm with key crank sprocket to put on this
weekend.  What color/type of threadlocker would folks recommend?
(Bentley says 108lbs with locking compound)

Any other chemicals or spots for loctite that I should be using to put
together this shortblock/head combo (I'm thinking of using a lot of
anti-seize)?
