Hi All, just wanted to pop in a let you know about my current sojourn
in my 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee CDI.
So far we have driven from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas to Newberry,
Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. The Jeep is averaging 20 mpg towing
a 1700 lb trailer and all the stuff we need for 21/2 weeks of travel
and camping. Average speed is 65 mph with some good bursts of speed
to pass slow pokes on the two lane roads (trying to stay away from the
interstates as much as possible). Not bad for a vehicle of that
size. I haven't seen many diesel VW's. A couple of TDIs but nothing
older. I guess that is because of the salt eating the northern cars
up. Tomorrow we head into Canada first to a town called Parry Sound
and then south to Toronto and then to Niagara Falls. I seem to
remember we have a Canadian or two on this list right now so if you
are near by either of those places. Drop me an email and we can try
to put a face to the name. If someone cold cross post to the vw audi
diesel group, I would appreciate it. Hayden
