[Vwdiesel] MB engine swap

I have a 7.3 PowerJoke in a 450 Stupid Duty as well.  It started life with 11 MPG(US) dead empty, and with a lot of very careful mods is now making 250HP and will get 13.5 empty, about 9 towing a large, heavy trailer.  That wouldn't be so bad if we couldn't just hook one of our CTD Dodges up to a similar load, or my old Iveco D220 to the same load and tow at 15USmpg at the same speed down the same road.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my 7.3.  It's a matter of it not being well designed installation from the blue oval idiots - and the matter of EVERYTHING around it breaking with great regularity (clutches, gearboxes, rear axles - almost 100% due to Ford installation ineptitude of design).
