I had a Argosy (Airstream) motor home which I wished I hadn't traded in on my Rockwood diesel pusher. That Argosy was on a Chevy 1&1/2 ton motorhome chassis which someone had previously transplanted a 6 cylinder Isuzu industrial turbodiesel & a Gear Vendors 2 speed behind a THM 400 Hydromantic. That rig got fantastic MPG, 17 MPG empty & 12 MPG loaded & pulling a car trailer with a car on it. It toped out at 60 MPH but could pull the Grapevine at 45 MPH!
That Rockwood is a nice unit but too much money tied up in it & is for sale at $25,000. It has a Cummings intercooled TD that I am told is the same as in those Dodge pickups.
