[Vwdiesel] Hi All, Happy May already. I have a wiring question about the heater element in the breater hose

On newer diesels, there is a 12V heating element in the breater hose that sucks crank case and valve cover gases and feeds them back into the intake hose going to the turbo.  Does this have 12V on it all at times or only until the motor gets to a certain temp and then some relay turns it off based on a signal from a temp sender on the head?

I think this helps keep water out of the oil or has something to do with condensing?

I just got a nice set of used intake and turbo hoses from a Golf TDI and it has this heating element.  I needed these for my AAZ build.
Thanks, I want to get this working on my van someday but need to figure out how to wire it.
