  Actually you just set the timing with the gauge, the cam to it's  
slot with the crank at TDC and you're done.  No "fine tuning" 
necessary unless you have some reason to know that you need 
to do otherwise with pump timing.  Cam to crank doesn't have 
room to play.  :-o

  Sounds like you may have a replacement flywheel.  Bentley 
explains how you're supposed to do this in such an event.  
 The mark should be between two rectangular, almost square 
chunks, more toward the outside face of the flywheel rather 
than the outside edge.  If you can't find one whatsoever then 
you can use a wire through the #1 injector hole and take your 
time working the crank back and forth until you're positive you've 
found that spot, then mark it well on the crank.
