[Vwdiesel] 5 speed linkage for 4 speed?

  I did a 4 to 5 speed swap in my Rabbit.  I changed the 
mount at the front left and one or both of the plastic ended, 
snap on links and then adjusted the linkage.  Still has the 
original shift linkage from the vertical shaft and lever, on back 
in spite of nearly everybody telling me it wouldn't work.  :-)
