[Vwdiesel] TDI New Beetle No start

It was the timing. Way advanced.

I lined up the camshaft and tried to put the pin in where I thought it should go and couldn't put it in. So I found a picture online of the pin installed (Here: http://www.tdiclub.com/articles/pdf/a4timingbelt.pdf) and realized the pump was off quite a ways. I think I had to move the pulley back four teeth (3 plus the one I had earlier pushed it forward).

Put it all together at that point and it fired right up.

I don't know what happened, the pin was in before (don't know if it was in the right place, but I am sure the pump never moved from where we started when the car ran).

But, anyway, it is going. Thanks for the suggestions!
