Yes indeed.
I don't remember if I updated everyone about my tdi. I would time it perfect and the engine would run. The next time I tried to start it, it usually wouldn't run again and the timing would be the same. But, sometimes the timing would seem to not be right. Upon further inspection the crank pulley was moving on the crankshaft. The crank bolt was loose and the keyway on the pulley was mangled. New pulley and proper re-assmebly fixed the problem.
