Exactly.

I wonder how much can be skimmed before valves catch up? I did some 
calculations,, but without knowing lift rate beyond quoted 1mm lift....
All very close and I may have valves kissing #1 and #4 . It all needs 
stripping down. I have done the mileage and towed a caravan, with no change 
in knocking, so it could be a bearing... Oil pressure's good though
I just can't seem to allocate some time/inclination to messing around with 
an otherwise good vehicle ;o)
