I agree as well.  Particularly when replacing an alternator that is as involved as this one.  Some take 10 min, some take 1hr.  When I worked at Autozone, for a short bit, it always amazed me how many starters and alternators were defecive, a few straight out of the box.

I tend top agree with that completely, I've gotten several bad 
alternators and starters from autozone. I've never gotten a bad part or 
incorrect part from NAPA.
