[Vwdiesel] injectors WAS: 91 Eco EXTRA noisy til warm - hydraulic lifters?

Rebuilt injectors and cars sounds great! Glow plugs were good, and I didn't even get to the lifters since it sounds soooo much better.

Cylinder #4 was filled up with a vegoil/diesel blend, that injector must have been leaking something fierce!

Compression was 490, 540, 440, 400. Not great, suspect something starting to go on #3 and #4, maybe it's just 200,000 miles showing.

Brought in some old NA injectors off the shelf and had Alaska Diesel Service rebuild them (on Potter in Anchorage). Man, I love that shop.

Last time I had new injectors I bought some Bosch rebuilt ones online for $35 (supposedly for turbo) but they were 130bar (NA), so Alaska Diesel reshimmed them for me (I dunno, probably for $50 or something).

This time I went to Alaska Diesel first, he figured out that the ecodiesel 1v engine takes a different nozzle, special ordered them, cleaned up my rusty old injectors and got me all set up for $50 each. Nice to spend my money locally and get the RIGHT part.

Thanks folks for sending me to the injectors.

Will.
