[Vwdiesel] Power steering rack question

I'm trying to picture the undersides of an A2 in my head and coming up short...  But from a couple cars I've had power steering out of, here's a couple thoughts:

On a Cabriolet, it could slide out side to side when unbolted.  In my old Corrado (which was based on sort of a mix of A2 and A3 stuff, I unbolted and lowered the subframe (It more or less hung by the motor mounts at that point for a little while, and was able to get the rack out the back of the subframe.  Definately tight, though.
