[Vwdiesel] 1991 ECO Jetta for sale

I have a lead on a 91 ECO jetta. It is basically the same exact vehicle as
mine, green and all. It is an individual that lives an hour from me down in
Wilmington NC.  He has owned the car for 12 years and they bought it from
the original owner there in Wilmington. It has 316k original miles on it and
as far as the owner knows it is the original head gasket. He never has
touched the engine in the 12 years that he has owned it. It still blows out
cold AC. He told me that he has run Rotella 15w-40 in it since he bought it
and changed the oil and filter out every 4k miles.  From what I can remember
it is in pretty good shape. He said that the paint is getting dull, but if
you ask me it looks better than mine.  He did add to the car in the past two
years a Passenger Performance 2.5" down pipe and a Giles tuned and
overhauled IP to the car.  The individual is very picky from what I can
tell. He bought a 2000 or so model Passat TDI and just does not drive the
jetta much anymore and would like to see it go to a good home.  I was temped
to pick it up as a spare but I really do not need to have another vehicle
sitting around the yard. If anyone is interested let me know.  He said he
would let it go for $1,700.  If need be I can get it and hold onto it till
the time comes for it to be picked up. I myself would like to see it go to
someone that would take care of it. The Giles pump alone is a $1200 item if
you think about it.  You can ask Tony, he drove mine with the new pump and
downpipe and it really wakes up the 1.6 and does not affect the mileage.
