Hello All,

I am having a fuel return and fuel pressure issue with a motor that has sat in storage.

History. It is a used motor that ran good on the bench:

started easy, idled smooth and had a steady stream of fuel

return.

advance forward 16 months to install the motor and i find the following condition. It still starts easy, though unless i intermittently turn on an elec fuel pump that i have on the fuel supply line it will not pump on it's own enough fuel to stay running or have a return fuel flow.

the installation is still in progress and so i don't know how

it is operating with the elec fuel pump on and driving the car.

I work on the project in 3 +/- hour intervals and run it, get it

hot thinking this in some way will begin to wake it up after such a long time of hibernation.

this is a diesel swap into a cabrio that had an automatic trans and so I am working through other issues such as shift linkage along with finding the correct axle shafts, and correcting some electrical issues that ultimately where the cause of the gasser eng. failure. nothing big, just a little time.

Is there a fuel treatment that might be added and run through before i begin a fuel solenoid cleaning or some other service to the IP.

thanks, ray
