Hi Folks;

                I just bought a 1975 Porsche 914  5 speed complete except
for the motor which I have to pull and return to my local Audi/
BMW/jaguar/Porsche/VW/ETC repair and dismantaling shop. Max had built the
2ltr engine for the owner who had an accident ( not in the 914) and put few
miles on the new engine before it sat in his garage for 12 years. He bought
the car back because he needed the engine for a customers car. Outside of
the car is decent, interior is good and only one small spot of rust behind
the passenger door.  I have been wanting to build a diesel sports car for a
long time and I just happen to be working on rebuilding  a VW 1.5 diesel
engine that I plan to turbo and intercool.  I figure the turbo diesel 914
will be a ball on the twisty back roads and will get 50 mpg on a trip. I
will have to purchase a tranny adapter and install  a radiator in the trunk.
When I'm done I will have perhaps 2500 dollars in my Turbo Diesel 914.
