[Vwdiesel] More Quantum Questions?

The Quantum patiently waits in the garage while I attend to other duties. Top priority is to fix the brakes on my wife's 1997 Taurus with ABS. On Sunday nite I heard a scraping which sounds like worn brake pads, from the rear. For some reason the brake pads ware out quicker than the fronts which were in good shape when the rear ones were previously replaced. Then some other "honey do's" & then hopefully some time for the Quantum. Am thinking of checking & cleaning the battery & starter connections per prior suggestions plus adding another ground connection from the battery to the block. However, I don't think the starter is bad as it turns the engine over quite rapidly but it is worth a try before I go thru the timming routine all over again.
