[Vwdiesel] Go for head studs or bolts

If those ARP studs were new, you should have gotten a packet of their thread
lube (which last's a few applications beyond that) and be torqued to
80ft.lbs. Paper written instructions should have been included too.. I think
100+ is for using engine oil..
