With my 4mm ring gap, I saw percolation.... [Pics sooon, 'new' engine
working well ;o) ]
To see it properly, you must squeeze vent pipe from valve cover, else the
vacuum from intake sucks the loosely resting cap back down, unless vent
blocked of course...
There will always be some flapping due to the pumping action of the
underside of the four pistons.
Use leakdown to distinguish leaks from rings coming up oil drains, and leaks
into intake and leaks into exhaust. for signs of poorly fitting/burnt
valves...
