[Vwdiesel] Blow by test?

I thought our new ultra low sulfur diesel fuel which we have had for a few years was now the same as European diesel, hence VW now bringing 50 state compliant TDI's to the USA. It infuriates me when some blowhard brags about the USA being the freest country in the world. Certainly not true in my opinion when it comes to cars we are allowed to buy. It bugs me when Ford won't sell the 60 MPG diesel Fiesta here or the diesel Transit Connect. The American weekly news publication Newsweek's latest issue had an article as to the best countries in the world & the USA came in at #11, Finland being number #1 & Canada #7. I understand parts can easily be imported but a fully assembled car must meet USA DOT/EPA regulations or you will be given a choice to re-export the car or have it seized by customs & crushed. This applies to cars less than 25 years old.
