[Vwdiesel] rad nipple/failure adhesives

Hi Folks,

Apologies, been awhile. My stable is down to one Jetta about to be re-engined
with an NA engine...
1) Agreed: use superglue for alignment purposes only. I've had fantastic luck
with JB Weld in two places: the plastic thermostat housing (don't ask) and the
snaky little "unobtainium" coolant metal pipe, on the first corner.

2) Rad Nipple: I suspect the rad in my 87 is a replacement (sarcasm) but it's
protruding straight back. Any chance you could cut it off completely and tap in
a metal sheath or...I saw this at a local GTG once: a grease nipple tapped into
the rad just under the neck to the overflow can. I thought that was darn small
but the guy swore it worked.

Cheers,
Andy
