[Vwdiesel] priming fuel

All this talk about procrastination got me out working on the car. I
had the injectors in the ALH TDI rebuilt a while back and just now got
them inserted. I'm having a lot of trouble getting fuel to them. I
used a priming bulb to get fuel to the pump, but I still have no fuel to
the injector line I opened to bleed. It's been a long long time since I
opened the fuel system on this thing so I can't remember: Should it
take more than one battery's worth of cranking?

Wish I had a tractor so I could just haul the thing around in gear.

Not to distract from my own question, but is it possible to do
that--start it by pulling in gear? Always wondered, never had occasion
to find out. Did it many times on the '80 and the '85. Never tried on
the '00 with all of the wires and sensors.
