[Vwdiesel] Is a 1.5 diesel head interchangeable with the 1.6 diesel head?

Yep, that's sort of what I was thinking. I'm picking the Jetta up this week, so I'll be able to look at it. BTW, that was also a problem back in teh day when we went to put a 1.8 head on the 1.6 block (gassers). The 1.8 had hydraulics and two drain holes, the 1.6 had the single small hole. We ended up tapping and pluging both of them, then redrilled the center hole to line up. Some silicone had to be added to the center hole, though, as the plug didn't make a perfect gasket mating surface. Anyhow, worked great, but these days I wonder why we put so much effort into that stuff.
