Subject: [Vwdiesel] Normal Operating Temp
I have a 1980 Diesel Pickup and installed a direct reading gauge. It runs
about 200 degrees during weather between 72 to 80 degrees on a level road
around 70 MPH. Start climbing or surface street stop and go and it will
quickly go to 210 to 220 degrees. The radiator was replaced 4 yrs. ago just
as a precaution. Is this considered normal? I would appreciate comments.
