[Vwdiesel] Fuel economy for a 17 tonne 8 wheeler

OK it's a little off topic, and vague to sty the least. A fellow[ess] ferret club member, wants to know an average fuel economy for a truck of this size.  I guessed about 10 miles per gallon [imp].
 I dunno why she wants to know, but perhaps as she works for the MOD, they are giving her an Artic. for transporting our ferret's racing kit [black footed kind, not  vehicle :o)  ]
