  For the time it takes to pull two bolts and a brake hose, I'd be more 
inclined to get a used one from a wrecking yard and replace it.  If 
you have good cast rod and can weld cast iron then you might have 
luck with that but it's not like it's a shock mount or something that 
won't kill you if it fails.  You can Kroil, PB Blaster, etc the stuff 
before 
you go to the yard, then apply it to the bleeder of the replacement 
one, pull the old one and stick in the new fairly quickly.  You can make 
sure the bleeder isn't stuck before leaving the yard too.  Those 
calipers should be cheap.
