I'm late to the punch on this one. Sorry. I have a Giles pump and I can
attest that it is well worth the price. My little 91 ECO jetta turned into a
really nice performance TD jetta by installing my IP that Giles rebuilt and
tricked out for me. It wasn't cheap at all but well worth the price. Plus if
you really want your turbo diesel to perform, open up the exhaust. I added
the 2.5" from the turbo back. I had a custom made down pipe and then ran the
2.5" all the way back through a flowmaster muffler, (only because I got it
off ebay really cheap) a straight through glass pack will work fine since
the turbo cuts a ton of the exhaust noise anyway.

Giles is a really good person. I have called an talked to him several times
and he always makes time to talk. Never rushed me on the phone.

I also installed an EGT gauge, very important if you put a modded pump on. I
noticed that I can get my temps up to 1,200 in no time so you need to keep
the EGTS down or you will trash the turbo among other things. It is fun to
play with and watch.

Interstate driving is not a problem. I can keep up with the rest of the
crowed even running 70 to 80mph. Now at that speed my economy sinks but it
is a small price to pay.

Hi Guys,

I am considering buying a diesel injection pump from this place in
Ontario called Performance Diesel injection. I have read really good reviews
on other VW advice internet sites. What do you think. Do you think the claim
of more HP with the performance pump and better mileage is realistic and can
be done with good long term reliability? I attached his letter. I am not
calling him a liar or anything, but before I buy it I am hoping for some
feedback.

Dave
