[Vwdiesel] More Quantum Questions?

Hi Bill
Compression lowness/variance may improve when you run the car under load a
few times.
I only tighten up injectors to about 30 to 40lb ft. I just go beyond the
point of
the heat shield distorting .You can feel it giving out. This leaves room for
a little tweeking up later if neccessary.
I don't think anyone was advising finding TDC with a wire through a glowplug
hole.
Through the injector was the intended way to go.

Did the open valve method actually give 8 inches of flywheel between stops,
or do you mean 8cm?
How far out was the valve method from the TDC mark?
Cheers
Mark
