Bill,
Disconnect all 4 injectors at once, [by this I mean loosen, and finger 
re-tighten the nuts on the injector end of the fuel lines] and whilst 
someone cranks, watch each line for fuel. It will bubble at first and then 
just weep. At this point retighten each line as it happens.
Then start car. It should self clear remaining air, but if still lumpy break 
eack fuel line in turn with car idling, just enough for bubbles to escape.
Whilst doing this, to save battery power, disconnect power to glowplugs. 
[Pulling the relay is easiest. Row 2 second in from the left IIRC ]
