[Vwdiesel] Trans Mount

Hi Rudy;
	I can't remember what one looks like but I might have one on a
Dasher parts car. VW Fox or older Audi 4000 4 speeds interchange with the
Dasher diesel so I would believe the tranny mount might be the same. Dasher
diesel 4 speeds I have found to be too low geared for comfortable freeway
crusing. A late 80's VW Fox gasser 4 speed tranny is a lot taller and makes
a highway crusier of an old Dasher diesel. I have a 1988 VW Fox gasser 4
speed tranny in my 1981 Dasher 1.6 diesel 4 door and made an easy trip
across the US this May. Over 8000 miles in 15 days with a lot of visiting. I
got  just under 50 mpg average for the trip at a usual crusing speed of 65+.

	I'm just finishing up on my 1975 Porsche 914 engine rebuild and will
put a new head gasket and timing belt in my 1981 Dasher Diesel Station wagon
next week. I will need to sell a vehicle to make room for a few of projects
( like a brake master cylinder in my 81 gasser Rabbit pickup, a 1.5 diesel
engine rebuild and turbo installation in my 81 Rabbit diesel pickup, an
ignition install in my 1990 VW Fox station wagon with a 16 valve gas engine
and 5 speed). Too many projects and too little time so my 1981 VW Dasher 1.6
N/A diesel that I'm driving now is for sale. Drive it anywhere it's ready to
go. As I stated it had an 8000 mile trip this May. 2000 bucks and it's
anyones. Just get a ride to Toledo WA, bring cash and drive home where ever
that may be.
