engine light works, turns on w/ key, goes off after a sec or two
(can't say the same for the ABS and the &%$#*@!!! wiper fluid sensors)

ah
what is 'adaptation'?
how could it be 'lost'?
possible to 'jump a tooth'? (new timing belt last year)

don't know where that is
also, I forgot to mention, my arm is in a sling from a snowboarding accident/recent surgery
I only have 5 clumsy left fingers to work with
(mechanical failure field machine working REAL good)

still do not own VCDS
enjoying letting other people do my car work lately
except for today
