[Vwdiesel] Miles per gallon

These "hydrogen generators" have been shown time and time again to be a fraud. They simply cannot produce enough hydrogen using the small amount of water they contain and the car's electrical system to produce enough to make any difference. The Mythbusters did a segment on magical devices to make cars get exceptional gas mileage. EVERY device they tested, including the hydrogen generators didn't work. They were able to get the car to run on straight hydrogen but ultimately it backfired through the carb!!!
BTW I took the time to respond from the VERY hot regions of the Big Bend of Texas where I am currently herding 14 students around the state showing off the geology of our great state. Next year, back to the Rockies!!

The main thing that attracts me to diesels is their superior fuel economy. I have seen some Mercedes diesels for sale with these HHO "run on water" generators installed & claiming much higher MPG. I wonder, if they are so great, why were they selling the car?
