Got the impact gun on them today. They came off like a dream.
Got the parts ordered including new bolts.
Boy, my clutch was gone. Even the springs were worn on the pressure
plate side. No damage to the flywheel. It looks nice and smooth!
My cap on the drive flange had come off and the cv boot was full of
oil. got new caps to replace them coming too.
Thanks to all.

Get someone pushing with their foot to keep contact on there and you being the monster you say you are can wrench on it. There should be some blue loctite on there. Heating of the bolts might break the loctite since that stuff wasn't meant for heat as much. And ya, still have to support the pressure plate with a holder or a wire. Good practice is to replace the bolts but they don't always get done. I just make sure more loctite is applied and the heads aren't damaged from removal.
